A crowd of 8,000 enjoyed day two of the 99th La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo. The day started with Dean Thompson riding Beutler and Son’s Bad Influence to the high score of 87. Rowdy Parrott had the best time of 8.5 in Steer Wrestling. Wawa Ben Jr. and Cameron Lee Tsinigine had the day’s best time of 5.8 in team roping. In Saddle Bronc, Damian Brennan and Brody Wells share the top spot with a high score of 81.5. Ty Harris had today’s best time of 9.8 in tie down roping. In barrel racing, Shannon Griffin raced to the best time, 17.1. The day concluded with Avery Rigyn Mullins earning the high score in bull riding, 83.5. Monday and Tuesday rodeo continues with SLACK (timed events) in the mornings starting at 8am (no performance features). Tucson Rodeo performances return Thursday after the Parade with rodeo action continuing all weekend, Thursday Feb. 22 – Sunday Feb. 25. Gates open daily at 11am with ProRodeo starting at 2pm.
