Kids Take Center Stage in Special Events
RAM Mutton Bustin’ - 12:30 p.m. each Rodeo Day
Boys and girls ages 4-6 gear up with protective vests and helmets and test their riding skills on sheep. The key to success is to hang on! Each participant will receive a trophy compliments of the Tucson Rodeo Committee.Schedule & Sign-Up
Justin Junior Rodeo Exhibition - 1 p.m. each Rodeo Day
Meet the next generation of rodeo champions. Boys and girls ages 5-12 compete in roping events, steer riding and barrel racing. The best time or score from each event, each day will return on Sunday, Feb. 24 to participate in the short go. The participant with the highest score or fastest time in each event will be awarded a buckle from the Tucson Rodeo Committee.Schedule & Sign-Up
Information for Mutton Bustin' & Junior Rodeo Participants & Parents
The Tucson Rodeo Grounds are located at 4823 S. Sixth Ave.
From I-10: take Park Ave. exit South; follow Park West to Irvington Rd.; turn right (West) on Irvington.
From I-19: take Irvington Rd. exit East.
Parking: Entrance to the parking lot is on 3rd Ave. off Irvington Road.
Be sure to arrive at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds on the day you are entered no later than 11:45 a.m. Check in at the at the Visitor Information Booth, which is located on the East side of the rodeo grounds.
A parent or legal guardian must be present for kids to compete.
Two rodeo tickets per participant entered in the Justin Junior Rodeo Exhibition will be provided; tickets are good only for the day the participant is entered.
Each day's participants are posted below. Entrants WILL NOT be notified in any other manner.
!!! PARADE DAY ALERT - Early arrival on Thursday, Feb. 20 is necessary. Streets and access to the rodeo grounds after 7:30 a.m. is restricted. See Parade Day road closure map. The parking lot at the Tucson Rodeo, just behind the parade grandstands, opens at 4 a.m. on parade day. Enter the lot from 3rd Ave. at Irvington Road.
